Robert Leroy D'Amore first discovered photography while living in Mill Valley, California in the 1960’s. He and his brother Richard D’Amore, also a photographer traveled to France to explore the welcoming photographic community. His photographs were first published in 1971 in Paris. Since then his work has been exhibited, published and collected throughout the world.

Robert worked and lived in Paris for ten years before returning to the United States shortly after the birth of his daughter Aurelia D’Amore in 1979. His black and white photography is exquisit and his hand tinted photographs transport the viewer to a time where only memory travels. Robert’s gum bichromate are dark and mysterious and his  Fresson  Tri Colour prints are stunning. His images range from haunting landscapes to provocative nudes. Throughout his distinguished career his focus has always remained in the realm of fine art prints.


Robert is self-taught photographer catches an oddity of angle, something entirely unexpected in each picture. In the field of art photography, Robert has maintained a constant presence for more than thirty years. His work has been widely represented in galleries throughout Europe and the United States. His photographs are alongside the work of photographers such as Walter Chappell, Edward Weston, Minor White, Alfred Stieglitz, Paul Caponigro to name a few. Robert's work can be seen in private collections and galleries around the world.
